The Functional Physiology Series™

Part 1: Understanding Biological Change & System Adaptation

An online education workshop for men and women who want to understand why their body is struggling — and how to respond strategically.

Many people reach their 40s and 50s still training, still eating well, still doing what once worked — yet their body feels:

More reactive.
More fatigued.
Less resilient.
Harder to regulate.

This is not a motivation problem.

It is a physiological context shift.

In Part 1 of the Functional Physiology Series™, we explore how the human body adapts to accumulated stress, hormonal change, metabolic load, and life demands — and why previous strategies stop working.

What This Workshop Is

This is not a workout.
Not a challenge.
Not a motivational seminar.

It is a structured, systems-based education session designed to help you understand:

• How stress reshapes metabolic function
• Why sleep architecture changes over time
• How recovery capacity narrows with chronic load
• Why hormonal transitions alter responsiveness
• How muscle, metabolism, and nervous system regulation interact

You will learn how to interpret symptoms as signals — not failures.

Because the body does not break randomly.

It compensates.

What You’ll Gain

By attending Part 1, you will:

• Understand why your body may feel different despite doing the same things
• Learn how stress, hormones, and metabolism interact
• Recognise the role of strength as protective medicine
• See how nervous system capacity influences fat loss, recovery, and energy
• Leave with clarity on what your physiology actually needs

No extreme promises.
No surface-level advice.
Just orientation and understanding.

The Format

Designed for depth without overwhelm.

Who This Is For

This series is for:

• Men and women navigating midlife biological change
• Individuals experiencing fatigue, metabolic resistance, poor recovery, or hormonal shifts
• Health-aware adults tired of symptom-chasing
• Those who want to understand their physiology before escalating intervention

If you’ve been told everything is “normal” — but don’t feel normal — this is your starting point.

About the Facilitator

Kerrie Lombo is a Functional Physiology Specialist who helps individuals understand why their body is struggling — and how to fix the system, not just the symptom.

Through her SHREDS Method, she examines sleep, hunger, recovery, energy, digestion, and stress to identify where physiology is under strain.

The Functional Physiology Series™ is the educational extension of that work.

This Is Part 1

Part 1 lays the foundation:
Understanding biological adaptation and system interaction.

Future workshops in the series will explore:

• Metabolic Regulation & Hunger Signalling
• Hormones & Stress Physiology
• Mitochondrial Energy & Iron
• Recovery Capacity & Nervous System Load
• Strength as a Longevity Intervention
